Developed many certification rules and standards for automotive organization carbon verification, product carbon footprint, zero carbon factory, carbon neutral, carbon emission management system, etc. One of the drafters of the national standard for testing VOCs from parts and components. His research interests include carbon emission standard policy research, low carbon certification technology research, national certification system research, enterprise carbon neutral path analysis, automotive VOC emission, and healthy cabin evaluation.

Mr. Xu Zhenyu is a technical expert of the Climate Business Unit of the China Environmental Certification Center, a technical expert in the field of coping with climate change, and a carbon verification auditor, and has served as a training instructor for the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Beijing Environmental Exchange, and the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences. He has participated in the capacity building of Shanxi, Ningxia and other provinces and cities to cope with climate change, and served as an expert in carbon verification review in Shandong, Shanxi, Ningxia, Hubei, Shenzhen and other provinces and cities. He has been involved in research work on climate change such as carbon peaking, carbon neutral, UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), national carbon market, China Voluntary Emission Reduction Mechanism (VER), carbon inventory, carbon footprinting, greenhouse gas inventory compilation, etc.
 In recent years, he is mainly engaged in the work of UN Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), China Certified Voluntary Emission Reduction (CCER), domestic carbon emission verification, climate policy research, green manufacturing evaluation, etc. He has led and participated in more than ten research projects in the field of carbon management assessment of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games, World Bank and Ministry of Ecology and Environment to cope with climate change, and provided carbon emission verification services for more than 100 key emission units in power generation, chemical, paper, cement, electrolytic aluminum and other industries in more than 20 provinces and cities in China.
