Seminar Preview|Biomass Energy

Background

       
Biomass energy is formed in the form of biogas, bio-hydrogen, biodiesel and fuel ethanol. In 2016, China's National Energy Administration issued the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" for the development of biomass energy, according to which by 2020, biomass energy will basically be commercialized and used on a large scale. The annual utilization of biomass energy is about 58 million tons of standard coal. It is expected that by 2020, the total installed capacity of biomass power generation in China will reach 15 million kilowatts, with an annual power generation capacity of 90 billion kilowatt hours, including 7 million kilowatts of direct-fired power generation from agricultural and forestry biomass, 7.5 million kilowatts of power generation from urban domestic waste incineration, 500,000 kilowatts of biogas power generation; 8 billion cubic meters of biogas; 6 million tons of bio-liquid fuel; and 30 million tons of biomass molding fuel. The annual utilization volume of biomass is 30 million tons.

Looking ahead, how will the development direction of biomass energy be formulated? What are the more economical and environmentally friendly technologies to be developed? How can biomass energy be better utilized?

To discuss these questions, the China (Germany) R&D Innovation Alliance will hold an online seminar on "Biomass Energy" on November 30, 2021. All scientific and innovative colleagues are welcome to register!

Dr. Ralf Lampalzer has a large network of resources and comprehensive expertise in the field of bioenergy and is a PhD in the field of optics/laser. He has worked for infoteam Software AG Dortmund, Smart Optical Sensor Technology GmbH Bochum and 3D-Shape GmbH Erlangen and has extensive knowledge of operations management including QA, development software lifecycle, CRM, etc. As co-founder of two high-tech companies, he also has extensive experience in building new products and markets. He currently holds about 15 patents and is the leader of several research projects in the EU and at national level.

Mr. Jiao has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar thermal, solar photovoltaic, biomass and energy efficiency, and has been working to bring technologies from the lab to the commercial market through incubation and acceleration. He has been working with universities, research institutes, governments and customers to promote the transfer and application of renewable energy technologies through different collaboration models.
