In order to promote exchanges and cooperation in the field of carbon neutrality and energy transition between China and Europe, promote the sharing of experience between institutions, and establish an industrial think tank, the China (Germany) R&D and Innovation Alliance (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") established Carbon China on June 11, 2021. As a major carbon emitter, the construction industry has always had problems such as high resource consumption, high pollution emissions, and extensive construction methods. With the continuous improvement of my country's urbanization level, carbon emissions in the process of construction production are also rising. The "China Building Energy Research Report (2020)" shows that in 2018, my country's building energy consumption accounted for 46.5% of the country's total energy consumption, and carbon dioxide emissions accounted for 51.3% of the country's carbon emissions.

Energy-saving and emission reduction in the construction sector is a very important link in the chain of helping to achieve carbon peaks and carbon neutrality. It is necessary to promote the green and low-carbon development of the entire construction industry chain from the full life cycle of building materials production, construction, operation and maintenance. So how should the construction industry respond to this? The Alliance United Jilian Environmental Platform will hold a carbon neutrality and energy transition seminar on building energy efficiency at 9:00, Germany time (15:00, Beijing time) on September 10, 2021.
